Scott Packman was named the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM) in April of 2005.

In his current role, Mr. Packman oversees all areas of the Company's legal affairs, including corporate transactional matters such as acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic alliance opportunities for MGM as well as worldwide film and television financings and licensing transactions.

Mr. Packman joined MGM in May of 2002 as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Before coming to MGM, he was General Counsel, EVP of Business and Legal Affairs, and Corporate Secretary with entertainment software company Creative Planet, Inc. At Creative Planet, Mr. Packman was a member of a five-person Executive Committee responsible for making all major business and strategic decisions for the company.

Prior to his tenure with Creative Planet, Mr. Packman was with the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers, LLP, where he was responsible for negotiating and drafting agreements ranging from motion picture, television and video game distribution, intellectual property, Internet and product placement, to executive employment contracts.

Mr. Packman began his career at the law firm of Rogers & Wells in New York. He holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
